This course is built upon the principals of the FBI's Street Survival program. This is a hands on course. Topics covered include mindset, handgun safety, mechanical breaching, building search techniques, and the ballistic shield. Lecture and practical application is put to the test in our force of force learning laboratory. The students will be faced with escalating force scenarios requiring them to think through a potential problem and take appropriate action. This is a challenging multi- part course. The first two days will consist of a 16 hour training block that will cover all aspects of explosives theory, handling, storage, and explosives calculations. Phase two of the course will focus on tactical explosive entry and will cover internal pressure calculations, target identification/ intelligence, charge selection, charge construction, tactics, techniques and procedures for charge placement and misfire procedures.
