Law Enforcement Specialty Training

Street Survival (LET -015) - This course is built upon the principals of the FBI’s Street Survival program. This is a hands on course. Topics covered include mindset, handgun safety, mechanical breaching, building search techniques, and the ballistic shield. Lecture and practical application is put to the test in our force of force learning laboratory. The students will be faced with escalating force scenarios requiring them to think through a potential problem and take appropriate action. Shoot no / shoot decisions while under stress are highlighted. This stress inoculation is the hallmark of this exciting and challenging course.


Active Shooter Response (LET -016) - This intense 2-day course is designed to introduce police officers to the skills necessary for responding to and resolving Active Shooter Events in public settings. The course will immerse students in the history of Active Shooter Events in the United States. Students will learn and apply team tactics necessary to limit the loss of life and injury and to resolve an Active Shooter Event. Students will be presented with practical exercises in the high stress environment associated with tactical operations through Simunitions ® exercises.


Explosive Entry Technician (LET -018) - This is a challenging multi part course. The first two days will consist of a 16 hour training block that will cover all aspects of explosives theory, handling, storage, and explosives calculations. Phase two of the course will focus on tactical explosive entry and will cover internal pressure calculations, target identification/intelligence, charge selection, charge construction, tactics, techniques and procedures for charge placement and misfire procedures. Course will also discuss alternative breaching techniques such as mechanical and shotgun breaching.


Basic SWAT (LET-007) – Designed to train new tactical response team members, the intense training days/nights will enable the newly trained team member to quickly assimilate into their organizations active team. This course covers team communications, team movement an rapid planning. Basic tactical entry with an introduction to zone clearing, immediate threat concept and width and depth entry are taught. Students will spend a great deal of time executing and discussing the slow and deliberate search methods as well as dynamic entry. The tactical operations center, support element employment and sustainment training are also discussed. Emphasis will be placed on team safety, the ability to select the proper course of action and when to execute. This course consists of a minimum 45 hours of instruction, range and shoot house time. . Advanced SWAT (LET -008) - This course is designed for the working tactical team or team member who is looking for more tools for the toolbox or to develop the tools that exist. Course will cover explosive breaching, sniper initiated assault, multiple crisis sites, and will explore numerous entry techniques such as the limited penetration, the quick peek, and an in depth study of zone clearing, immediate threat concept and width and depth. This course will consist is a minimum 45 hours of range, classroom, and shoothouse time. Call for team pricing and round counts.


Hostage Rescue (LET -009) - Focused solely on hostage rescue techniques, this course will cover in depth team and individual actions both inside and outside the crisis site when the final option is put in play. This is an intense three-day live fire force on force course that will provide the student with a solid foundation of dynamic hostage rescue techniques and procedures. The student should be a graduate of Basic SWAT LET-007 or a current SWAT Operator.


High Risk Warrant Service (LET -010) –This three-day course is designed for the task force officer, tactical officer and department members who are not on the tactical team. This course integrates all personnel so that high-risk warrant service is conducted in a tactically safe manner. Course covers point of entry selection, the ruse, and scene containment.


Basic Close Quarters Battle (LET -011) - This course is built upon U.S. Military Special Operations techniques for room entry. This is a three day course of dynamic, hands on, live fire training that focuses on dynamic entry and surgical shooting. This course is designed to introduce the student to the knowledge and skills necessary for this type of entry and to provide them with a training plan for sustainment. Topics include zone clearing, diversionary devices, initiative based tactics, width and depth and an introduction to the immediate threat concept. It is recommended that the student be a graduate of Patrol Rifle LET-003 and/or Tactical Pistol LET-002 to participate in this course.


Protective Service Detail (PSD) (LET-017) – This indepth hands on course explores the role of the PSD element in a high threat environment. Course covers drop and arrival, foot movement and interior movement under duress. This course includes live fire react to contact drills, extensive force on force role playing as well as basic motorcade operations and the use of the advance. Our course is taught by current and former members of PSD’s in Iraq and Afghanistan. This course has a fixed price regardless of the number of students. A minimum of twenty students id required for the course be conducted.


Rural Operations (LET-014) – This course is designed to introduce the team or individual to operations in a rural environment. Topics covered during this challenging three-day course include patrolling, patrol planning, tracking, land navigation, tactical communication and booby traps. This is a physically challenging course with one overnight patrol. There is no prerequisite for this course.


Tactical Team Leader Development (TML-001) - A three-day intensive course designed for the current of future Tactical Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader. Course covers the role of the Team Leader, developing team SOP’s, training and documentation. Funding the team, training scenario development, and shoot house safety are also covered. Course will consist of almost twenty-five hours of instruction and working groups.


Crisis Response Mission Planning (TML-002) - This in depth course covers the planning process, command and control, the role of the mission debrief. An extensive mission planning exercise is included in the course. This course is designed for team members who are responsible for mission planning and for the law enforcement manager responsible for the departments crisis response planning. The course is an intense two-day package that analyzes all aspects of mission planning.


Ground Defense Tactics/Edged Weapon Defense (OPR-001) - This is a fast paced three day course designed to afford officers the necessary skills to survive the fight once it goes to the ground and to defend themselves against edged weapon attacks. The first two days cover ground defense tactics and the third day concentrates on edged weapon defense. This is an intense 24 hour course that gives officers the tools they need to survive on the street.


Manadnock Side Handle and Straight Baton (OPR-003) – An entry level or great refresher course for side handle and straight baton users. Course covers use of force, liability, blocks, strikes and joint manipulation with the batons. There is no prerequisite for this course. This is a two-day course.
