INSTRUCTOR LEVEL COURSES

Handgun Instructor (INS-001) – A course designed for those in an Instructor role. Course covers handgun fundamentals, problem shooter diagnostics, range management and in depth look at Instructor techniques. Students will run their own ranges and perform several student and Instructor Staff critiqued teach backs. This is a five day (40 + hour) course and students must be a graduate of Tactical Handgun TAC-001 or a a similar course. Student will be required to pass a qualification course with 80% on Day One of the course to remain in the course. The Qualification course is available prior to the course. Tuition $550. Round counts: 300.

Shotgun Instructor (INS-002) – An Instructor level course for the Firearms Instructor. Course will cover range management, qualification courses, an in depth focus on Instructor techniques and employment of the shotgun. This is a faced paced, extended two-day course. Prerequisite is Tactical Shotgun TAC-002 or a current Firearms Instructor. Tuition $500. Round counts: 250.

Patrol Rifle/SMG Instructor (INS-003) – A dynamic, hands on course for the Firearms Instructor. Course covers fundamentals of shooting and will discuss several of the more popular SMG’s in use today including weapons systems by HK and the Colt Family. Course will also cover range management and safety, ballistics, and instructor techniques. This is an intense five day (40 + hour) course and students should be a graduate of Patrol Rifle/SMG TAC-003 or a similar course. Student will be required to pass a qualification course with 80% on Day One of the course to remain in the course. The Qualification course is available prior to the course. Tuition $550. Round count: 400.

Pepper Spray Instructor (INS-004) –A must have course for those agencies using pepper spray. This is a one day extended course that covers applications and liability of use of pepper spray. Course also covers developing training scenarios and training management of the pepper spray program. Student will receive a level two contamination during the course. It is recommended that the student be a certified pepper spray user but it is not required. Tuition $200

Shoothouse Instructor (INS-005) - A must have course for the department that trains in a shoothouse or is considering building a shoothouse. Course will cover the role of the shoothouse instructor, shoothouse safety, design and construction, developing a shoothouse training program, and how to build effective building block scenarios for the shoothouse. Course will include both classroom, and live fire shoothouse instruction that will be in excess 16 hours. Tuition $300. Round count: 250 rifle, 200 handgun.

Straight Baton and Side Handle Baton Instructor (INS-006) – This course is designed for the department that is looking to certify their Instructors in side handle and straight baton use. This is a Manadnock course that covers use of force and instruction techniques. Student must be a certified Manadnock Baton user prior to attending the course. Tuition $300.

Edged Weapon Defense Instructor (INS-007) – An Instructor level course for the Edged Weapon Defense Program. This course covers instruction techniques and training scenarios for the Edged Weapon Defense Program developed by Peter Boatman of the United Kingdom. This is a physically challenging three-day course. The student must be a certified EWDP user. Tuition $250.

Firearms Instructor Development (INS-008) - This is a fast and challenging four day course that will develop and refine the classroom, practical application and range skills required of today’s professional Firearms Instructor. The course will focus on courseware development, classroom presentation, range development, and range safety and management. This is a must have course for the professional firearms instructor. Tuition $550. Round counts: 600 rifle, 600 handgun.

Law Enforcement Sniper Instructor (INS-009) – This course is designed for the current Precision Ridleman looking to become an Instructor in Police Sniping. This Instructor Level five-day course will comver fundamentals fo precision marksmanship, ballistics, shooting positions, multiple targets, hides, moving targets, sniper employment in support of SWAT operations, shooter diagnostics, range safety and management and instructional techniques. This course is taught by a former Chief Instructor at the Marin Corps Scout Sniper School in Quantico. Tuition: $850 Round Count: 500 Rifle, 100 Handgun
